Chicago Ground Transportation Tax Calculator

How the math works
- City LY plates (since July 1, 2026): flat $98.00 per plate per month — no GTT returns, no more $3.50 airport-day auto-charges.
- Suburban/out-of-state livery: still $3.50 per vehicle per taxable day, auto-charged for airport-pickup days, with the annual form 7595 filing — the July change did not include you.
- Charter buses/vans: daily GTT tiers by seats including the driver — $3.50 (up to 10), $6.00 (11–24), $9.00 (25+).
- MPEA departure tax (per departure from ORD/MDW, paid by the business): $4.00 for taxi/livery; buses and vans pay $18 (capacity 1–12), $36 (13–24), or $54 (25+).
